What College(s) Did You Attend?:  

I attended the University of North Texas where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies!

 

Education History: This is my third year at Huffman, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a hawk! It’s my 5th year teaching 5th grade, and so I guess that kind of makes this my golden year of education! Prior to graduating college, I taught pre-k for three years!

 

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: I enjoy dabbling in the creative arts! I spend a lot of my time either coloring or crocheting things like stuffed animals. I also recently started learning how to code in my spare time!

 

Why is the IB PYP program important to you?

Inquiry and agency are my favorite components to the IB PYP! The teacher who inspired me to teach did so using both of these! It’s so important to get students thinking, asking questions, and taking action! Isn’t that how we make the world a better place? IB grows these qualities in its students knowing that these kids are going to change the world someday!
