What College(s) Did You Attend?:,I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University, and later received my Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Education History: I began my career in education as a classroom teacher, a role I held for eight years. I then served as a campus math specialist, a student culture and instructional coach, and a dean of instruction before moving into my current role as an assistant principal.
Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: I enjoy working out, spending time with my family, dining out, relaxing with my dog, and binge-watching TV shows while live-texting my friends. Oh and did I mention I love watching football, more specifically the Kansas City Chiefs!!
Why is the IB PYP program important to you? I love that the IB PYP program helps students develop a broader understanding of how their education connects to the world around them. I also appreciate that it gives students the opportunity to exercise agency and demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
