What College(s) Did You Attend?:  I went to The University of Oklahoma and received my bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Boomer! I have my master’s degree in School Counseling, from Amberton University.

 

Education History: This will be my eleventh year in education. I taught 1st and 2nd grade for a total of five years, and this is my sixth year as a counselor.

 

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: During my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, playing and watching basketball (Go Mavs!) and soccer, watching OU football, reading, baking, being outside, shopping, finding fun new restaurants, spoiling my nieces and nephews, and spending time with my friends, family, and two dogs. 

 

Why is the IB PYP program important to you? I love that the IB PYP program teaches our students to be inquirers, show grit, and understand the impact they have on the world around them. I believe that by teaching students to be lifelong learners and that they should never stop trying to make the world a better place, we are growing wonderful human beings who will be the difference makers we will need in the future.
