What College(s) Did You Attend?: I went to the University of Houston where I received my bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies. I also have a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.

 

Education History: This will be my twelfth year in education I have taught prekindergarten, first, and second grade. I have also served in the role of reading interventionist. 

 

Interests/Hobbies Outside of School: During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, traveling, trying new restaurants, and hanging by the pool.

 

Why is the IB PYP program important to you? I love IB international learning because it encourages a global mindset. It pushes everyone to think beyond their local context, understand diverse perspectives, and explore real-world issues from multiple angles. The IB doesn’t just focus on academic content but also emphasizes, critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and responsible action.
